The VALICO corpus in VALICO.org is a subset  of GranVALICO, built balancing the amount of texts elicited according to  mother language of the students, type of iconic stimulus,  interlanguage level.

The main goals of the VALICO corpus are

- to show how students of different age and mother tongue write in Italian;

- to allow queries which combine POS-sensitive research and sociolinguistics variables in order to better investigate learners’ interlanguage

- to offer a survey of text types that teachers of Italian around the world might make their students write > might inspire teachers of Italian around the world;

- to be a resource for exercise and test  designers

- to work as a roundtable on methods to prevent the most frequent errors and avoidance strategies;

- to provide Italian Linguistics with new insights into variation and acquisition.
